Inclusion – The DEA Blog!

Hello and welcome to our blog for Diversity Equity and Access (DEA): Inclusion!  In this blog, we hope to share information that pertains to DEA issues–to keep all WACAC members informed and to expand communication.  The idea for the blog came as a result of the Roundtable Meeting we held at WACAC in Orange County this year; members who attended the meeting felt that the DEA committee needed to find a way to share resources and keep conversations going in between IDEA conferences.  Inclusion was born from the idea that, no matter our differences, we all want to be included. Differences bring us together!  We hope to cover an array of topics addressing issues of diversity. I would like to introduce to you the 4 main blog contributing members and their institutions:

Maria Rodriguez – University of Southern California
Diana Moreno – University of Southern California
Hervey Malone II – University of Laverne
Daryl Crowley – Loyola High School

We all look forward to sharing resources and continuing conversations among WACAC members through the blog.  If you have ideas or suggestions for topics, please email them to me directly at medinalo@usc.edu.

Thank you!

Yamilet Medina Lopez
DEA Committee Chair
